But I genuinely believe she is taking a brave stance, getting death threats from the right, to stand by her values. I might not get into the same room with her for fear she might human sacrifice me, but if she did I’d believe it wasn’t for votes.
Ro, however, is an opportunistic shill for the Pod Save America class. He is not speaking out about any of the ways MTG (and Tucker Carlson) are making the world more dangerous. He’s saying hey guys, I would vote for the KKK, if they say AIPAC is bad, and if you don’t then you lack grace.
Grace that does not seem to extend to…AOC. Her main crime is rejecting coalitions with those who spread hate, the chick also, that’s the real evil. This is also the least brave stance one can take at the moment, being anti-zionist (while never focusing fire on the Christian Zionists) is the most popular position on the left. It’s politically expedient, and the fact that AOC is a political rival is, well, not at all a surprise.
That offends me, like, a little bit as a Jew. But it offends me a lot as a Midwesterner. Pennsylvania is first of all, not part of the Midwest, but sure, it’s a vibe. Anyone can have the values. Ro Khanna does not. He’s a graven divider in unifier drag, and while I’d work with him too I would not get a room with him either. I’d sooner focus my efforts on getting Pete Hegseth to switch sides. He has twisted Christian Nationalist morals (LIKE MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE!!) but at one point loved America and fought for his country for the right reasons. Ro Khanna is who I thought he was. I award Ro zero points and may God have mercy on his soul.
